Dear our Evolve friends, and human beings everywhere,
We are living in unprecedented times. However, challenges always bring unexpected opportunities, even if we can’t see them at first because of the pain of dealing with sudden change – they will reveal themselves in time.
Fear of the unknown is all consuming. Recent events have dimmed the daily joys we once knew, and taken us from a place of thriving to surviving.
The equilibrium of our happiness rests on what or who we give our power to. Many of us are feeling in fear of Covid-19, and the impact this could have upon our families, businesses and careers. But, like with any other unexpected challenge you’ve overcome in your life, you can choose how you respond.
It may feel like Covid-19 has a hold over you, your life, your happiness right now, but you can take this power back by focusing on what you can control, whilst choosing to let go of things that you cannot. Every day on this beautiful planet of ours is precious, and there is no reason to stop living, stop planning, and stop dreaming.
“If I really want to improve my situation, I can work on the one thing over which I have control – myself.”
– Stephen Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
As we all face the next few months, never forget two important things:
You are not alone.
You, your business, your career – will rise again.
We will get through this, and together we will move forward more connected, more courageous and more determined than ever.
Help yourself and those you care about to manage this challenge with these 4 steps:
Reach out to help others, and let others help you – even super humans need somebody sometimes.
Invest your thoughts in what you can control, no matter how little this may feel some days, this is the place where your power and happiness resides.
Share what you have with one another, keeping one another’s livelihoods afloat and spirits high.
Experience some type of joy each day.
Evolve will be here, every step of the way, sharing messages of hope and offering some guidance as how to best navigate this unexpected, but surmountable storm.
Stay hopeful.
Love,
Team Evolve
